2025 QTR. 2 MESSAGE

Dear Sally Kate Winters Family Services Family and Friends,

As we transition from a beautiful spring into summer, we're thrilled to share the incredible dedication of the SKWFS staff, board, and volunteers, and highlight some of our recent achievements!

April was a powerful Child Abuse Prevention Month. We hosted our fourth successful radio remote with Super Talk Mississippi, raising critical awareness, and our Child Abuse Prevention Parade saw an incredible turnout, thanks to our local schools, daycares, businesses, and volunteers. A big thank you to Access Family Health for on-site services and West Point Nutrition for their "BLUE menu" support. We wrapped up the month with our annual Butterflies & BINGO fundraiser, featuring beautiful youth art in the silent auction. We're immensely grateful to our generous sponsors: Bank of Commerce, Renasant Bank, Southern Ionics, Bank First, Hass Outdoors/Mossy Oak, City of West Point, Prestage Farms, Phillip’s Hardware, Kevin Flurry-State Farm, Pediatric Dentistry of Columbus, Steel Dynamics, Dutch Oil, Larry Clark Chevrolet, and Lann Chemical.

In May, we championed Mental Health Awareness Month by hosting our inaugural "Muffin Moments for Mental Health" event. This gathering brought together churches, community leaders, and residents to boost awareness and education on the emotional needs of children and families. Thank you to everyone who participated!

June saw wonderful support from Dauphin United Methodist Church volunteers, who helped us plant our summer flowers. We're also proud to share that our Transitional Living Program reached full capacity – a testament to its profound impact on our youth. We also celebrated important milestones for several of our youth and navigated some bittersweet staff transitions.

Looking ahead, I'm incredibly grateful for your continued support. Your contributions of time and donations are vital, driving our mission to empower children and families and protecting children in our community.

Thank you for your unwavering support!
